Visual Development (Blue Sketch & Character Designs)

Visual development is probably the only place in the industry with room for artistic creativity and freedom. (Umm... according to my animation professor, everybody else - animators, TDs, etc - are machines that serves the director.) I took the visual development class to see if I could have a chance for a career in this field. Any hope?
